God is Always on Time

Romans 4: 19-21 “19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.”

These are powerful scriptures talking about the faith of Abraham. No wonder he is sometimes referred to as the father of faith. And on the basis of his faith in God for his promise accompanied by his daring obedience to trust God completely, it was credited to him as righteousness (Genesis 15: 6).

Abraham and Sarah had gone past their childbearing age. Sarah was in fact infertile. She could not bear any children. But God promised them a son and Abraham hung on to that promise by faith even though it took a long before it materialized. And God was pleased by his faith (Hebrews 11: 6) and he called him a righteous man. Amazing!

Is there something you are believing God for that has not come to pass yet? And you are absolutely sure that God will provide it? Think about Abraham! Even though his body was as good dead (he was very old; in fact about 100 years old), he continued to trust God. He did not waver in his faith. Abraham did not allow unbelief or doubt to creep in. He trusted God to the end. And the promise came just at the right time.

My friend, know this truth! God’s time is not your time! But God is always on time. He knows when to deliver what he promised. Verse 21 is powerful! “God has the power to do what he had promised.” Hallelujah! I receive that word by faith in what I am trusting God for. What about you?

HAVE A BLESSED DAY!
